With its rounded summit overlooking the Saône plain and its slopes covered in vineyards, Mont Brouilly hill is one of the iconic landmarks of the Beaujolais region. Topped by a chapel built in the 19th century to protect the vineyard from bad weather and disease, it offers a stunning 360° panoramic view of the entire region. Two interpretive trails have been created on its slopes (1.5 km or 3 km, depending on your fitness level), as well as an area dedicated to understanding the local geology: the Mont Brouilly Geoscope.
